knockin'em outta the park

Kim and Joe went to school at UNCC and had the wonderful idea to do their engagement session on the ball field. I know nothing about baseball at this point in my life, but that might all change some day. After all, these two were having fun just having me take pictures of them hanging out there!

See you at the wedding next year!

Elizabeth+Robby: some e-session

Engagement sessions are short. Mine last about 90 minutes. Which means..driving to Charleston to do a session with Elizabeth and Robby seemed like a definite no at first. OK, well, whatever, I'm glad I 'bent' this time because it was 100% worth the 8 hour round trip. You just can't get this stuff in the countryside. ....well, hmm, no, not all of it.

This is Macy, the couple's very cute dog. He escaped their truck before we needed him, but I didn't mind at all. Although when I was being spun around by that...plastic?...rope as he chased some other dog.. let's just say, I have yet another reason to wear my cameras while I shoot. LOL

This is where the dog...gets attacked by an alligator.

After the panic passed, and we realized the gator was going to stay, but he was going to keep staring at Macy and not come and try to eat us, Elizabeth and Robby were ready to get down in the sand.

This one may be my favorite...

Holy hotness, Batman! That was an amazing session. Thanks for dragging me down to Charleston, and I am absolutely pumped for your wedding now.

e-pics: Heidi + Adam

In just two meetings, I have deduced that Ms. Heidi has cute shoes. I'm hypothesizing that anyone with colorful, cute shoes is my kind of client. Their soon-to-be grooms must be too. :)

This is Heidi's favorite:

Their reception next year will be at the Carolina Inn...here in the background...

The couple that plays together stays together. :)

...my last engagement session of 2007! What brave souls to do Chapel Hill in the chill. Here's looking to the warmth of July! See you then.

Blessings,

Tyler+Robert: epics

Tyler and Robert are very much into their traditions. Their wedding date? A Tuesday in May because that's the anniversary of their couplehood. They met at Wake Forrest University in Winston-Salem...so that's where they chose to do their engagement photos. Makes perfect sense to me! Especially once I saw the campus. Very cool.
Recently t.p.'ed:

ok, I was excited someone wanted to go in a library.

Looking forward to your wedding....

Charis + James Engaged!

I was just about to blog James and Charis' wedding, and realized I never blogged their e-pics. I am behind on blogging..and now events are out of order. *sigh*

Anyway, we got some way-cool pictures in downtown Fayetteville (thanks for driving all the way from Charlotte).

Inside the little movie theater. Teenager workers are so cool, aren't they? They don't give a care about rules at all.

So... After the above picture, Charis volunteers to take a picture of us. I'm not sure how we wound up on the wall...where she made this picture.

(cropping by me, I look fat so you get half of me, which makes me thinner. hah!)
Anyway, so then she tells us to jump.

..and then I got her point-- it is totally hard and stupid to have people jump off walls. So I won't ever do that again. At least, I won't make them if they are wearing heels like me. lol

And those are just some of the cool pictures we made that day. I'd like to close by saying that they started the session by telling me repeatedly how un-photogenic they are. And, yeah, don't do that people! You are beautiful to someone, and if that someone is who you're with...then we have absolutely no problem in the world capturing that!

...and these two are obvious cute and in love. Just WAIT till you see their wedding... maybe next week?

Be blessed!

Can't wait for your wedding next year!

Speaking of next year...if you're lurking, loving our work, and having booked us yet, you might want to think about it asap. Several 08 dates are already gone-- between April and August of next year!

vikki+michael

Based on this session, I am looking forward to a million laughs and never a dull moment at their wedding. They are all about the silly moment, and not taking things too seriously.

Vikki is considering an e-session guest book. It's a double bonus: the love between the two of you highlighting the well-wishes of your wedding guests. And that's just cool.

See you two in October! Inside joke: no oompa-loompa-ing in your formal wear!

Autumn+John

We made these e-pics in the town of Pinehurst. I'll be photographing John and Autumn's wedding there in November.

I'm glad we used your home for some of the pictures! Great spots. And I hope your dog (oh, I'm awful with names!) will be in the wedding-- she was fantastic! Ringbearer?

Michelle and Rob
Engagement Pictures
Moore Square, Raleigh

Michelle and Rob were just so sweet to eachother...AND they looked good in the nasty cold rain!!

I think I was the only one whining that day... Florida was never cold like this, let alone in October... and being an indoors girl, I didn't plan real well... I forgot a jacket and wore sandles.

See, I'm still whining.
Can't wait to see you at your wedding!
