Peeved
I have debated this post for months. But I have to say it. I have such a bad taste in my mouth from seeing this over and over and over.
First let me say that a LOT of photographers attend workshops, and I think this is great. It's fun, you meet other photographers, you might learn something, you might see an easier way to do something with software... It's great to stay fresh and current and keep challenging yourself to learn.
But I personally think it's unethical to use images from workshops in your portfolio. Especially as your opening image. I think it's misleading, and if what you learned (cough, copied, cough) at a workshop is the best you have... ugh!
I'm talking to more than one photographer. There's greatness in your own work. I think brides and grooms want to see what you did on your *own*, because those famous photographers aren't going to be there on the wedding day.
