This was my personal favorite. Like all good clients (hint hint) I got about 20 to 30 minutes to do portraits with them by myself (aka, no tag alongs or videographers, no offense) which means this lady was a STRANGER. I could not believe her nerve! Unlike most of the city who congratulated the couple...she lectured. WOW. Of course what could I do but enjoy the photojournalistic moment and take several pictures. haha!
You can really get a sense of Kayla's great attitude (she's trying to take off her veil and laughing good-naturedly) and Collin's patience with the woman and his protective arm on his bride.

Sara+Wyatt

So...I usually make you wait to see all the pictures till I finish editing, right? Well, Sara sent me a very nice note just days after she wed Wyatt, so in reply I sent her ONE of my favorite images... it was kind of like this:

only it was shot from the side, Sara was sipping a drink and accidentally (I THINK!) giving me the bird. I thought it was so funny, it made the cut as my favorite of the week. Sara, I'm sorry I didn't share with you any of the images you'd rather see... like this:

Which is why I take so many pictures! I'm doing the expected, the unexpected, the unrequested, the details, etc, etc. At least I do when I work solo!
Anyway, Sara was so SO beautiful that I got loads of pictures like this:

The pretty ceremony site...very cool tent. When it rained later, guests were able to still move between the indoors and outdoors because the flaps easily slid shut.


Oh, OK, this is unconventional for me because I like it even though it's a formal portrait. I call this 'dirty cross-processed', in case you'd like me to do this to your album.:

Happy 4th!

I hope everyone's got great plans for tonight! Us? well, the kids are at Grandma's. John and I have been enjoying each other for a change. We ate out a few times... we shopped... we talked... we lounged. I am getting caught up on work, too.

New blog... what do you think? I figured it was time to completely ditch the fairy tale name, and make use of my own! And why not a fancy new look? Of course I fudged with it, and now it doesn't fit right over there>>>> on the right.
